Walk the Labyrinth

Tuesday, December 10, 2019
9:00 am7:00 pm
Evanston Center Sanctuary

There are a variety of ways to think of the experience of walking a labyrinth. Pilgrimage consists in departing from an undesirable state and arriving at a desirable state. One walks the labyrinth in order to move from one’s place in the world into communion with God. And then one walks back out into the world, now reminded, and more fully conscious of one’s relationship with God.
To walk the labyrinth is to take the time to intentionally open oneself to this transforming awareness of God. It is to consent to the path that God has laid out for our lives and to allow God to direct our steps in order that our walk through life is in more perfect union with the Divine, in whom we live and move and have our being.
Our labyrinth, a replica of the one from Chartres Cathedral in France, is available to walk on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Come any time between 9 am and 7 pm and walk at your pace.
