Hello! We are excited to invite you to our annual NAMI Walk/Mental Health Day event! NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. The walk helps fundraise money for the organization and those impacted, as well as providing awareness for mental health resources and the need for them.

Where: We will meeting at UPark UMC and walk from there
How: We are planning to meet in person outdoors, however, there is an option to participate virtually or on your own time. If you join our team, you can always choose to do the walk on a different day!
Sign up to join the team here! The NAMI website links also provides more information about both the organization and the NAMI walk event.
How long will the walk be?
The walk will be about 5k (3 miles). However, you do not need to walk for the whole time or whole way.

Yes! We will be providing mental health and community resources at UPark that day too so you can participate in that way! If you choose to participate virtually, you can do the walk on your own time or at the same time/day as us!
What will covid precautions look like?
As of now, we are planning on having the event outdoors and in person (for those who want to participate in person). We will defer to CDC guidelines and send out more information as the event becomes closer.
