Spiritual Books to Read this Winter

Reading is one of my favorite things to do, but I especially love the feeling of reading a good book when it is cold and snowy out.  I love reading partly because I think the way language can be so imaginative and evocative makes reading insightful.  Moreover, I especially love reading about topics that matter to me, like spirituality. This season, we've thought of some books to better understand theology, history of spirituality, and the multitude of religious perspectives

1. Theology for Skeptics (Dorothy Solle)

2. The Female Face of God in Auschwitz (Melissa Raphael)

3. The Alchemist (Paulo Coelho)

4. God of the Oppressed (James Cones)

5. Theology of Hope (Jurgen Moltmann)
