Call 2 Parent: Becoming Your Own Loving Parent
This meeting will be focused specifically on identifying, sharing about, practicing, and getting support in developing the loving and practical skills in becoming our own loving parent. Children raised in toxic, dysfunctional family systems reliably suffer from complex post traumatic stress syndrome or PTSD. For many, if not all of us, the mere thought, awareness, and acceptance of this painful fact is extremely difficult. Healing and recovering from childhood trauma requires an adult (parent) in charge the entire way. This meeting will create a safe space to begin your journey toward developing essential parenting skills while walking the path from self-loathing toward unconditional self-love. We meet in room 1.
Wednesdays at 6:00 starting June 26
We will meet weekly to support one another as we go through the 12-step process to healing from growing up with an alcoholic parent or dysfunctional family. The group will be open for the next month while forming and then will become a closed group to protect the vulnerability of members.
